Description:

Where the purchase and placement of public-facing waste bins was once managed as a set of isolated, largely ad hoc decisions, universities, corporate campuses and other large institutions increasingly view these similar to other facility infrastructure that require long term strategic planning. In addition to improving the aesthetic uniformity of waste bins, bin design standards are an important step to improving collection efficiency and addressing the user behavior that leads to contamination and low recycling participation.
Busch Systems is proud to have collaborated with Zero Waste Campus Council to present this hybrid event, followed by group discussions and a focus group surrounding new bin design (not included in the recording above).
