Here at Busch Systems we know a thing or two about a good cleanup event! And this past July, we switched things up with the help of our Junior Ambassador – Ryan Hickman of Ryan’s Recycling – and organized our first beach & waterfront cleanup in our hometown of Barrie, Ontario.
Ryan kicked off the event with Busch Systems’ CEO Craig Busch – and we were lucky enough to also have a local recycling and waterfront cleanup expert, Zoe Bystrov (founder of the Youth for Lake Simcoe group) join us for the event. The weather held off and we had a very successful cleanup picking up a total of 65 pounds of trash and recycling!
Our friends and family event gave some of the Busch Systems’ younger generation a chance to meet Ryan and Zoe, and learn from their enthusiasm surrounding this event and how they can continue with cleanup efforts of their own.
