Welcome to the first edition of the quarterly Midwest Recyclers Digest! To begin this newsletter, I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself, Donna Hovey, as the new Regional Manager for the Midwest. I have been with Busch Systems for over a year and I am excited to be working with you fine folks in the Midwest. RECYCLEMANIA
There are more than 390 Colleges and Universities in IL, IN, IA, MO, KS, WI, MN, ND & SD of those only 70 are currently participating in the RecycleMania Challenge. That’s 17.95% of the total registration; are you one of them? RecycleMania is a friendly competition among college and university recycling programs in North America. During an 8 week period each spring, schools compete to reduce waste, increase recycling and raise awareness of conservation issues across campus. “Like the Logo” Contest on Facebook
We are currently holding a contest for colleges and universities in North America, which runs until February 27th. Our ‘Like the Logo Contest’ will be hosted on Facebook, where colleges and universities across North America can upload their campus recycling logo for a chance to win $5,000.00 worth of recycling containers. The three logos with the most votes will be entered into a random draw for the grand prize! Many colleges and universities already have web pages (complete with recycling logos) dedicated to promoting their campus recycling program.
