College Recycling Logo Contest

“Like the Logo” Contest on Facebook

We are currently holding a contest for colleges and universities in North America, which runs until February 27th.  Our ‘Like the Logo Contest’ will be hosted on Facebook, where colleges and universities across North America can upload their campus recycling logo for a chance to win $5,000.00 worth of recycling containers.  The three logos with the most votes will be entered into a random draw for the grand prize!  Many colleges and universities already have web pages (complete with recycling logos) dedicated to promoting their campus recycling program. For those who do not, what a great opportunity to create a logo and raise awareness!  www.facebook.com/BuschSystems

Recycling programs are becoming more and more popular across the Midwest. Luckily, it’s easy being green! This article shows how your recycling program can be made simple and effective:

We use these words often in our industry, but do you really know what their true meaning is?  You may be surprised!

COMPOST = A mixture of decaying organic matter, as from leaves and manure, used to improve soil structure and provide nutrients.

Did you know…composting alone, diverts millions of tons of waste from landfills every year!

SUSTAINABILITY = The quality of not being harmful to the environment or depleting natural resources, and thereby supporting long-term ecological balance.

Did you know…recycling one aluminum can saves enough energy to watch TV for 3 hours – it’s equivalent to half a gallon of gasoline!

Time to hear from YOU!

Do you have a question you would like answered about our containers or recycling programs?  Please email me directly and I will be happy to reply with an answer – I will then feature your question and my answer in the next issue of the Midwest Recyclers Digest.

Have you come across an interesting article or fact that you would like to share?  Send it my way and I would be happy to include it in upcoming editions.

Is there a product idea or modification you have in mind?  I would love to hear all about it!
