Diversion & Waste Reduction in Veterinary Facilities

Original Air Date: Thursday August 22, 2024 @ 1:00pm ET

Description:

Similar to human healthcare, veterinary care facilities generate large amounts of waste. From surgical gloves to animal bedding to single-use sharps and syringes, veterinary operations present many opportunities to reduce, reuse, and recycle. This webinar featured two presentations, a high-level review of how to set up a waste reduction program and measure impact, as well as a case study presentation from a Californian veterinary specialty and emergency care hospital describing their steps to reduce and divert waste.
