Meet Warda.
Warda is a 35-year-old collection community member from Geziret Al Dahab, Cairo, Egypt. As a mother of three, she began collecting plastic waste from her neighbors and local households to provide for her children and help create a better future for her family.
Every day, Warda collects plastic from her community and local streets, helping keep her neighborhood clean while creating a meaningful impact. She also encourages other women in her community to join Plastic Bank and become financially empowered through collecting and exchanging plastic.
Since becoming a Plastic Bank collection member, Warda has helped bring greater awareness of plastic waste and the benefits of collection to women throughout her community. She takes pride in the work she does and the positive impact it creates.
Warda is proud to be a working mother who is building a better future for her children. Her greatest motivation is to provide them with everything they need, help them become independent, and give them a secure and fulfilling life.
