What is an Aerated Static Pile or ASP Composting?

ASP composting is widely used in municipal and commercial facilities because it eliminates the need for frequent pile turning while allowing better control over temperature, moisture, and oxygen. ASP systems can use passive aeration, where air moves naturally through the pile, or active aeration, where fans or blowers force air to control decomposition.
