Recycling & Waste Reduction Strategies for Special Events

A HYBRID PRESENTATION/LARGE GROUP DISCUSSION EVENT

Original air date: January 25th, 2023 at 1:00pm EST

Description:

Recycling and minimizing waste at special events presents unique challenges and opportunities. The one-off nature of fairs, festivals, outdoor receptions and other such events involves setting up collection bins and operational arrangements from scratch, as well as coordinating with stakeholders ranging from food vendors to waste haulers. And while special events require extra effort to instruct attendees on how to sort, they’re also an occasion to raise awareness and reinforce waste reduction practices.
Busch Systems is proud to have collaborated with Zero Waste Campus Council to present this hybrid event that included two high-level overview case study presentations, followed by interactive group discussions where attendees were encouraged to share their own challenges and practical experience.
