In recent years, they have also launched the very successful Resource Center, a ground-breaking recycling and waste collection analytics software application. To further expand their commitment to sustainability and provide clients with the utmost expertise in the field, Busch Systems is thrilled to welcome Alec Cooley to the position of Senior Advisor.
Says Mike Baxter, Director of Strategy: “Alec joining the Busch Systems team represents the next exciting phase of Busch Systems. Alec joins our team with an unmatched level of expertise and experience that will continue to propel each department of our organization to grow in the right direction. He will also play a large role in our continuous goal of maintaining our position as the knowledge leader in recycling & waste industry and will be an integral part of our bold, new initiatives as we move forward into 2019.”
With over 25 years of experience, Alec Cooley is most recently known for his work as Director of Recycling Programs for Keep America Beautiful and comes to Busch Systems after a nine-year tenure specializing in the management of national events such as Recycle-Mania along with extensive grant and sponsorship programs. Previous postings include management positions with the National Recycling Coalition, Humboldt State University and an ongoing association with College and University Recycling Coalition (CURC). As a much sought-after speaker for professional recycling and sustainability audiences, Alec will continue to present on these topics at various conferences and tradeshows along with providing consultation services.
Comments Cooley: My interest in recycling comes from a passion for the outdoors. Since childhood, I’ve always loved hiking, watching wildlife and other outdoor activities. Recycling is an easy, concrete way we can protect the natural beauty around us, and I’ve been fortunate to build a career helping create more opportunities for people to participate. What’s always impressed me about Busch Systems is how they incorporate recycling best practices as well as customer feedback into their product design. As a member of the team, I’m excited to use my knowledge to strengthen our role as partners helping clients implement the most effective recycling programs possible.
Busch Systems will be exhibiting at booth number 507 at AASHE and is sponsoring the CURC Workshop on Tuesday, October 2nd, 2018.
