Barrie, Ontario, February 23, 2012 — In an effort to encourage recycling among youth, Busch Systems International, a leader in recycling, waste and compost containers has created a resource section of their website called “Recycling for Kids”, which provides teachers and children multiple resources to increase recycling awareness.

The new webpage will feature resources such as posters, certificates, guides, cartoon characters, coloring pages, puzzles and signage which will both increase recycling awareness as well as encourage recycling for kids.

“Children are the future of recycling”, states Serena Brooks, Sales Manager for Busch Systems. “Recycling programs and recycling awareness are increasing all the time. By putting resources into the hands of teachers, we are hoping to simplify recycling in classrooms and increase participation across North America”.

The new “Recycling for Kids” webpage will be promoted in several ways. The launch of the resource page will be unveiled at the upcoming 2nd Annual Green Schools National Conference in Denver, Colorado from February 27th to the 29th. In addition, Busch Systems plans to incorporate the launch into their very active social media campaign which has already seen a successful “Like the Logo” recycling contest geared toward college and university recycling programs earlier this year.

“We anticipate a great deal of positive feedback from schools in regard to these resources”, states Brooks. “Teachers tend to welcome resources which help to increase awareness among children. When you make recycling fun, you make recycling simple”.
