3R's Pressures in the Great White North

Businesses in Ontario, Canada now have to apply the same waste-diversion practices at work as they do at home.  In order to achieve its stated goal of 60% diversion by 2008, the Provincial Ministry of the Environment has dispatched over 200 enforcement officers to inspect IC&I sector organizations for compliance with waste-diversion reg’s. Busch Systems has been recognized by several newspapers, magazines and business groups province-wide as a solution-provider for IC&I organizations in need of 3R’s assistance.

Recycling Road Trips

Although the weather outside may be frightful, our intrepid sales teams are looking forward to attending
two exciting events.

On January 17-20, Ted Booth, Rob Roach and Jeff Armstrong will be demonstrating the many ways that the Golfing community can enhance their waste diversion programs at the Ontario Golf Course Management Conference in Toronto, Canada. As golfing continues to soar in popularity, course operators and managers
are starting to realize the many opportunities to capture recyclable material otherwise headed for landfill.
Typical recycling opportunities exist on the course,
in the clubhouse, parking lot, snack-bar, restaurant,
and administration office.  We hope to show them that “Recycling Makes a Hole-in-One Every Time.”

A little further south, Busch Systems will be represented at the Tennessee Recycling Coalition/ South East Recycling Council Joint Conference on February
7-9, by our good friend Jim Gurley of Printed Business Products. Jim is a familiar face at TRC functions, having devoted many years to creating 3R’s educational tools for recycling program administrators and managers throughout Tennessee

Business Improvement Areas / Business Improvement Districts

Across North America, many municipalities are enjoying the benefits of partnering with local businesses to form a Business Improvement District.  Such a program involves all the businesses within a geographic area to pool a portion of their funds to improve and beautify the commercial area.  One of the best capital investments is to upgrade the local pedestrian waste & recycling program.  And the best tool on the market for municipal waste collection is Busch Systems Sentinel Series Waste & Recycling Containers.

If your municipality partners with BIA’s/ BID’s to invest in waste receptacles shouldn’t those units be easy to use, easy to service, maintenance-free, rustproof and encourage recycling?

Looking for value?  Split the container costs with the BIA/ BID, then co-op advertising on the optional billboard panels.

Sentinel Series containers are now available to service single, double, or triple-stream collection.

Ask your Busch Systems representative which is the best solution for your municipal collection needs.  Remember, there’s no such thing as too many waste receptacles—these are attractive, revenue-generating, and divert recyclables from landfill!
